Regular attendance by Bill Manners and Kelly Duncanson at Nanaimo Neighbourhood Network Meetings has kept the Dover Community Group in the minds of other Neighbourhood groups.
The experience of Uplands Walk (housing for those at the risk of homelessness) has been positive for the community and a group has been formed consisting of the Dover Community Associaton, Vancouver Island Regional Library, Nanaimo Seniors Village along with John Horn from the City of Nanaimo to host regular stakeholder meetings about Uplands Walk.

The management team of Pacifica has kept up on informing neighbours of issues, even related to people that do not reside at Uplands Walk.  We have a large number of homeless people living in the Dover Community Neighbourhood, which stretches from Hammond Bay School and Hammond Bay Road to the edge of the City and the Strait of Georgia (Salish Sea).
